London to Plymouth in under 20 hours · 26 December 2014

St Mungo’s provides a bed and support to more than 3,150 people a night who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

Story

On my way in to work this morning, i realised how cold it is outside. It got me thinking about all the homeless people who have to suffer this throughout the christmas period and who may not have the option to even be with people for this lonely period.

So i thought that i would attempt to ride my bike home to Plymouth from London, and instead of giving my money to the train company and travelling in luxury, I would give my cost of a train ticket to St Mungos, and ride and endure the cold harsh weather that is a regular occurrence for the homeless.

The journey is about 250miles (402km) and i will leave at midnight on the 25th and aim to get to plymouth in under 20 hours (id like to think i could do it in 16hours). I haven't done any distance riding in a while and i know this is going to kill me and i can be sure that i will have a cry at some point but it'll be worth it.

It would be nice to receive £1 from 250 of my friends as thats not much to ask for. And it would help me complete the distance knowing i have your support.

Thanks for reading and your support :)
