I hope this message reaches everyone as the video I’ve shared with most announces our new Charity Partner of 2022/23 - *Simon on the Streets*. THEY ARE AN INDEPENDENT CHARITY IN WEST YORKSHIRE HELPING THE HOMELESS AND VULNERABLE. They deliver outreach support on the streets to the homeless community and those that are most vulnerable in Leeds, Bradford and Kirklees.

For them as a charity and us as a partner, this is an incredibly important partnership, as they continue to tackle homlessness in all it's forms and support those who are facing it every day, many of whom are also struggling with their mental health. We get the opportunity to help just a little for this amazing cause.

My video talks of an upcoming event in just 9 days time and this round of fund raising will just show how serious we are as DPD Leeds and Bradford to support and raise awareness 🙏🏻.

There are so many people facing homelessness, and the devastating impact of the cost of living crisis is only set to make things worse. We dread to think what this number will look like by the end of 2022 and some of our drivers have told us horror stories of seeing some of their customers evicted or become homeless themselves due to this 😭

For all those staying over, we’ve donated £25 each and that donation actually equals an entire bedding bundle to a homeless person in Leeds/Bradford next week from another partner.

Simon on the Street offers unlimited emotional and practical support for homeless and vulnerable people to enable them to achieve their goals.All our services are delivered on an outreach basis directly on the streets. We deliver our outreach during the day but also in the evening and in the early hours of the morning when many of the most vulnerable are struggling. We want to support an individual to achieve their own goals and aspirations whatever they may be.
