Great North Run 2015 · 13 September 2015 ·

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.

Story

Sadly my amazing cousin Deborah Bone passed away on 30/12/14 just a few days after learning that she was to receive an MBE in the Queens New Years honours list. Deborah had dedicated her life to working with young people suffering from mental health issues and the MBE was to be awarded for her work in this field.

Her MBE was collected posthumously by her husband Colin,  her daughters Polly and Jem, her mum Jill.  Deborah and Colin received wonderful support from Myeloma UK and so it seemed to me an obvious choice to run for this particular charity.

Any donations you are able to make will help to continue to fund research into this dreadful disease. No donation is too small.

Thank you everyone.
