No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

The FI team at Barclays has committed to rasining £30,000 through a number of initiatives throughout the year to support Julia's House. We are committed to raising this money in anyway that we can, I hope you will help me and the rest of the team, by making a donation. Your support, no matter large or small will go a long way to helping the wonderful and committed team at Julia's house.

Julia’s House is a Dorset based hospice that cares for children with life-limiting illnesses. These children are unlikely to live beyond the age of 18. They also provide life-changing support for families both in their homes and in the hospice itself.

Julia’s House receives less that 10 per cent of funding from the Government. In 2013 they estimate that it will cost nearly £3.4 million to continue to provide their vital services.

The Barclays Financial Institutions team have set ourselves a target of raising £30,000 for Julia’s House in 2013. This will pay for one full-time nurse for one year.
