Emma has been volunteering for Ocean Youth Trust (OYT) South since the age of 14. It is a charity which uses Adventure Under Sail as a personal development opportunity for disadvantaged or vulnerable young people aged 12-25. For the 450 young people who sail with OYT, a voyage is designed to develop confidence, team-working, the ability to cope with unfamiliar situations, and tolerance and understanding of others.
