Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·

Stickler Syndrome UK aims to raise awareness of Stickler syndrome amongst the medical profession; promote the value of early diagnosis and help preserve vision, hearing and mobility (particularly the prevention of sight loss in children and adults).

Story

After seeing my much, much older sister Susannah (Patsy) start tearing up the miles in London over the last 3 years my formerly undisputed (and frankly unchallenged) best runner in family title is under serious threat! If you sponsor me I will endeavour to train harder than Rocky in Siberia and to emerge triumphant ahead of Patsy at the St James' Park finishing line on April 26th!

My sister and I had the ambition of running the London Marathon and to raise money for a good cause, namely Stickler Syndrome Support Group (http://www.stickler.org.uk/).  Stickler Syndrome is quite a common but not well recognised genetic disorder and all sponsorship money will be going to help raise awareness and support sufferers of the condition.
