Story

In Memory of James Neill

My Dad was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer's in March 2020. In reality, he had been suffering with the condition for several years before then. He relied on the love, care and support of my Mum, who ultimately did everything for him - everything.

Crossroads provided weekly respite care for my Mum, enabling her to have a few hours to herself or occasionally a whole day to attend a family birthday or special event. This much-needed time helped Mum to recharge her batteries and give her some freedom.

Without Crossroads, Mum wouldn't have been able to do the things that she needed to, and she also benefited from great company at a difficult time, befriending a lovely lady called Mandy.
