Family, friends, all,

I have, rather stupidly, signed up for the Prudential Ride London - a 100 mile bike race in and around the city that takes places in 8 weeks. I only bought a bike for this yesterday (7June) so I'm expecting this to be extremely challenging at best, and resulting in a life-changing-John-Wayne-waddle at worst.

But the pain isn't all self- indulgent, I'm cycling for South London Cares; a fantastic charity that does great things in the community to help alleviate loneliness amongst the elderly. They do this by building a community network of young professionals and older neighbours hanging out and helping one another in the rapidly changing London , something which I'm proud to be a (small) part of.
