Story

Hi

My name is Matthew Vasey and I am 12 years old.

My dad (Paul Vasey) lost his battle with cancer in 2007 when I was only 4 and he was only 31 years old. Even though I was only 4, I can remember lots of really fun things we did together. I still can't believe I won't see him again. I remember when he died, I also wanted to die so I could be with him because I didn't really understand.  It was a really sad time, I still think about him often and I have his picture under my pillow every night. I would like to raise money for an amazing cause who help families like mine deal with this horrible disease. My aim is to raise at least £100 for Macmillan as they work so hard and do a fantastic job.

My mum will be shaving my hair (to grade 1) after school on Friday 22nd May 2015 and I will upload some photographs when I have done it.
