Every day of the year, your local air ambulance (Warwickshire & Northamptonshire) is helping save more lives. Our critical care paramedics, doctors and pilots attend an average of five rescue missions a day. We receive no government funding for our daily missions. Your support keeps us flying.

Story

On the 1st March 2019, Bob Brain from Moreton-In-Marsh, Gloucestershire, will start the first day of his 4 and a half thousand mile run.
This will start in Weston Super Mare, at 10am, from the start of the pier. He will then run a marathon (27 miles) a day, everyday, for 167 consecutive days. He will follow the coastline of England, Scotland & Wales, returning back to Weston on the 15th August 2019.
From there, on his final day, he will be picked up and dropped 2 miles from Moreton (his hometown), where he will run into the town square, followed by a procession of motorbikes.

The reason that the Air Ambulance is an organisation close to Bob's heart is because on the 31st August 2017, his son Matthew Robert Brain was tragically killed on his motorbike. It was the local Warwick/ Northants Air Ambulance service who tried their best to keep Matthew alive.
Despite their best efforts, this was not to be.

Surprisingly, the Air Ambulance is a non-Government funded organisation. This means that every time they take off to try and save a life, the costs of this come from donations and voluntary work.
Bob would like to try and raise as much money for them as possible, in hope that they will be able to save many lives.
