Hi, we have set up a fundraiser in memory of our mother, Maureen Kelliher (nee O'Leary). As a lot of you might know, Maureen passed away in 2018 at the age of 47. This year we would have been celebrating her 50th birthday on May 28th.

Maureen was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in 2016. All those who were with her through that tough journey knew of the strength and determination she had shown while living with such a life altering condition, which heavily affected her mobility and stamina.

Because of the current covid situation, we are unable to celebrate her memory on this milestone birthday with her close family and friends. We have decided instead to take on a challenge to reach a goal of one million steps between the four of us from the 1st to the 28th of May. We chose to do this because prior to her illness, she loved being active and was on her feet every day whether it was in Glenflesk, Killarney Celtic, or Kenmare. During this challenge, we will provide regular updates on our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

The money raised will be donated to MS Ireland, a charity that we hold close to our hearts. After Maureen's diagnosis, they provided her with such a high standard of care, gave her lots of information and support, and we could not think of a better way to honour our mother.

We appreciate any donation, big or small, as a way of celebrating her birthday and raising money for a good cause.
