Story
Dear friends, family, colleagues, everyone!
In memory of my mother, who passed away in December 2011 after losing her battle to Ovarian Cancer, I have decided to challenge myself to run 26.2 miles at this year's London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April....YES you read correctly!
This is something I have always wanted to do but could never bring myself to commit. It will be one of my biggest challenges to date, particularly given that I dislike running with a passion.
I am supporting ONE CAUSE a charity that helps under-privileged communities in the third world through the provision of EDUCATION. www.onecauseuk.org
My parents made huge sacrifices to provide every opportunity to help us further our education, as they firmly believed that this would provide us with the quality of life they never received. This clearly resonates with ONE CAUSE's mission and therefore very close to our hearts.
Being able to help hundreds of children have a brighter future and the fond memories of my mother will keep me motivated throughout the early starts and grueling training schedule.
Please dig deep and help me support this great charity. Anything you can spare will be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
Many thanks in advance, Mayur.
