Could you pay around £3,000 for your Child's funeral tomorrow? The ELY Memorial Fund was founded for this purpose. Please help us to raise essential funds towards funerals costs for bereaved families in Herefordshire who tragically lose a son or daughter in a car accident aged 17 to 25.

Story

Thank you for spending the time to look at our just giving page, we are the Public and Protective Service students of Herefordshire and Ludlow college. Our Everest challenge is in support of the Ely memorial fund. Ely raise money for families who have lost their children from the ages 17-25 in car collisions across Herefordshire. We are doing this challenge as we are all young drivers, Ely gives us the support and confidence that if something was to happen on the road, we know that our families would get the support they need to get through the devastating grief that they would feel.

Our challenge is to collectively walk, run or cycle 9400 miles. This is the distance from Hereford to the summit of Everest and back! This is a substantial distance that will push us as students and build our resilience and commitment to being active citizens.

Our fundraising target is £3,000 which would help support the charity’s ability to continue to educate and support young drivers and families who suffer a bereavement.

Thank you for taking the time and hopefully give what you can. "
