We are raising money for the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Treliske in Truro. These rooms offer valuable space in the hospital itself adjacent to the children wards so that families can spend more time with their children when they are in Hospital.  Help us, help a local Hospital.

THE EVENT...

What we plan to do is for 15 of us to set out from Penzance McDonalds on the 19th July and following the coastal path head towards Lands End collecting Litter along the way. This is approximately 16 Miles so to ensure we are collecting a lot of litter we are aiming for 8 miles a day.

 

We are very kindly being supported by Cornwall Council who are providing us with litter pickers, bin bags and the like and will also arrange to collect the collected rubbish at regular intervals throughout the 16 Miles. We have also been in contact with the Guiness Book of World Records as to whether this can be verified as the longest " Trash Walk" in the world, or failing that the UK.

 

We are looking to raise as much money as possible for the RMHC, Which is a great charity which provides free home from home accomodation at specialist hospitals across the UK, Which enables families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.

 

What we are asking for is to sponsor one or all of us through this page..We aim to complete the 16 miles as a team with varying degress of fitness throughout the team, it could be a challenge !!
