Meg's 50 Hour Guiness World Record Hockey Match

Meg's 50 Hour Guiness World Record Hockey Match · 8 May 2016
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a keen hockey player I have decided to support another of Southend's hockey clubs by taking part in a Guiness World Record attempt of the longest hockey match - meaning 50+ hours of continuous hockey playing over the May bank holiday (27th - 29th) and most importantly raising money for Age UK Essex.
Event details – two squads of just 16 are targeting to play 50+ hours of hockey. A tall order with very little rest for all involved!
When - The game begins at 6pm Friday 27th May and will end at 8pm Sunday 29th May 2016.
Where - The game will take place at Warners Bridge, home of Old Southendian Hockey Club (SS2 5RE).
Charity - This event is in aid of Age UK Essex. The money raised will go towards: dementia support services - to set up and run the service in the Southend area; Talking Friends project - providing transport and access to activities and rebuilding friendships to reduce loneliness and isolation; sponsorship of branded clothing for front line staff to assist identification whilst working with vulnerable people.
Dementia is something that I have seen affect family first hand, so I know how important it is to have the support for families in place - any donations however big or small will go a long way and are very much appreciated!
