Hi everyone my name is Megan Davies and At the age of 16 i was diagnosed with an eye condition called retinal pigment damage.

 We found out about it as I was struggling to read the board of school. in lessons wherever I sat I was struggling to read the board properly and asking for help quite a lot and that's when I thought maybe there is a problem here.

I had scans and photos taken of the back of my eye and we found the pigment damage on my retina and I was then referred to Peterborough hospital and then Oxford specialist hospital.

My condition is really rare and isn’t seen very often. Because of this there isn’t any treatments or cures. 

The best way to describe it to people is your eyes are like cameras my lens is completely clear there's no problems there so glasses can't fix my condition. it's the back of the eye the retina, and that's like the focusing point somewhere eyes cant always focus and pick up a clear picture or read clearly that's where the problem lies.

That’s why I decided to raise £10,000 for fight for sight. There are so many people out there living with conditions similar to mind who want help too. I’m doing This for everyone who is visually impaired.
