Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Ann and Andrew McKerracher very sadly lost their little girl, Katie to a very rare form of brain tumour in early 2009. Katie was only 10 years old and had been extremely poorly for a year. In her memory, her family have set up a charity - The Katie McKerracher Trust - which will raise money to help other families with children who are battling this rare form of tumour, and to hopefully help fund more research into treatment of this illness.

The charity's first big fundraising event is a sponsored cycle ride in the Hebrides in July. Duncan and I are taking part in this (quite a challenge seeing as neither of us has even sat on a bike during the last ten years!) But we are going to do our very best - so please, please sponsor us - we and Katie's family will be so, so grateful.
