Story
80,000 young people in the UK experience homelessness in just one year and we both believe that needs to change. Centrepoint charity work tirelessly to help those who are affected by homelessness to secure bright futures, and have helped 75,000 people since they were established in 1969. Therefore, we are hoping to raise some money for this amazing charity by doing a Skydive in Australia and would love your help!
What some people do not understand about homelessness is that it is often not the fault of the person affected; complex support needs, sexual abuse and broken homes often play a part. Government housing is not freely given out; a vulnerable person must meet many conditions to be given this privilege and therefore are often left with nowhere to turn. With just £12, Centrepoint can give a vulnerable person a room at a Centrepoint hostel for a month enabling them to start to build a positive future away from homelessness. Therefore, we are hoping to raise at least £144 which could help give a vulnerable person accommodation for a year, hopefully enabling the individual to receive all support and skills they need to progress in life. Any money you could donate towards this cause would be greatly appreciated!
