Thanks for coming to my JustGiving page.  For those of you that know me well - you may be wondering why on earth I've signed up for an "epic 9 day, 950 mile plus ride across beautiful Britain" in June 2011.

And the answer to that is:

* it was a spur of the moment decision (yes, that's miles - not kms!)

* I'm using this as the push I need to give up smoking, get fit, lose weight

* I've signed up with 3 other fabulous people from work as a relay team (OK - I won't be doing the full 950+ miles, more like 400, but still........).  Was it foolish to think that this type of team building will enhance a working relationship?

* it's in support of a great charity

* nothing else would get me to go to a second spin class!

* I've been meaning to see more of Britain and am hoping that I won't be too nauseous and cranky to enjoy it!

It's obvious that I'll be getting a lot personally from this very, very, very difficult challenge - but your encouragement and donations will make sure that the event also benefits the cause that it has been set up for.
