Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Sightsavers Ireland!

I will be running the VHI Women's Mini Marathon on 2nd June in aid of Sightsavers Ireland. As some of you might know, I have worked for Sightsavers for over two years now and truly believe in the incredible work that is delivered by the organisation in over 30 countries globally.

Any monies raised will have an incredible life-changing impact on people living with avoidable blindness in the developing countries where we operate. 

Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes, and where people with disabilities participate equally in society. There are 39 million people who are blind in the world - yet 80% of blindness could be prevented or cured. By supporting Sightsavers, you could help provide sight-saving cataract operations, train our incredible volunteers and eye health professionals, and deliver life-changing treatment to protect against diseases such as trachoma and river blindness.

If you wish to give, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your support will directly contribute to transforming lives through sight restoring operations. There's no such thing as a donation too small either - to put it into context...:

• €32 could fund a sight-saving 
• Just 17 cent could treat a person against trachoma
• €18 could protect a whole community from river blindness
