This is my first ever attempt at running for a cause and I'm very nervous....... but I'm taking part in the British 10K Run on the 11th of July. I'm hoping to raise some money for my 'furry friends' at Mayhew Animal Home.

Mayhew Animal Home is a charity that works here in London to rescue unwanted/abused animals and re-home them with responsible and caring owners. I've been supporting Mayhew for over 2.5 years. Some of you might already know how passionate I am with anything cats - I myself have adopted my cat, Neko, when I found him rolled in front of my house with his face being covered with blood. It is hard to believe, but the local vet didn't think that was caused by car accident or anything, but rather it was caused by someone heartless. I don't really want to believe there will be more animals being abused/abandoned in the future, but I have become a 'friend' of Mayhew so that if there is a case like this, those animals can be rescued and also being offered a second chance.
