Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!!

I did a sponsored 'Head Shave' on Saturday 16th April 2011 to help raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

I was diagnosed with a rare and nasty cancer called (Spindle Cell) Rhabdomyosarcoma in February 2011 and after two operations to help treat it I have now started chemotherapy to stop this awful disease returning, hopefully once and for all. It will take about four months of intensive treatment, plus radiotherapy to kill it. I decided to remove my hair before the cancer does, while raising money for an excellent cause at the same time :)

This horrid cancer is more common in children and young adults and it breaks my heart to think children the same age as mine (7 & 9yrs old) have to endure this aggressive and gruelling treatment. This day is for them, me and the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital (Chelsea and Sutton) who are doing a marvellous job in looking after us all. I want to give something back in return. And this is it...

So please, please, please dig deep and support me in any way you can. Help me reach that £1000 target and put a smile back on my face. It has been a rough couple of months since Jan 2011 and I still have a long way to go but I'm determind to fight this wicked disease with all my gusto!

Big love to you all
