Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

It is now 16 months since we lost our lovely Royo. My family and I will always be grateful to St. John's Hospice for the care they gave Roy and I in the last few months of his life. And also for enabling his wish to die at home, with me and our children with him.

If I have learned anything in the last 16 months it is that no matter what, life rumbles on around you and you have to keep going. I have many things to be thankful for in my life, especially my family and friends, and, although life can feel tough at times, I am determined to make the best of every day.

My great mate Gill Lumb, asked me earlier this year if I fancied doing a challenge ... I agreed and on 17th September we are cycling, along with her hubby Dave and other members of their family and friends (and also now as a late addition,Steph Barton),from Whitehaven to Tynemouth over 3 days . This is probably not that big a deal as many people do it but for me it is probably the first time in my life that  I have ever done a personal challenge like this.

If you can support me by donating any amount at all I will be so grateful and hope to be able to benefit the wonderful St John's Hospice by doing so.

Thank you so much

Mel xx
