Hey guys!

 

On the 4th July myself (Mel) and Andy will be taking on the challenge of swimming 22 miles of the north coast of Cornwall, from St Ives harbour to Perraporth beach.  To our knowledge this route has never been completed to date by swimming, we are hoping to be the first cornish swimmers to complete it!  The reason we are doing this however aside from the awesome challenge is that the charities that we have both respectively chosen to raise money for, personally mean alot to us.  I have chosen to raise funds for Marie Curie in response to the recent care received by my gran for her battle with terminal cancer.  Every £20 will fund a Marie Curie Nurse for one hour care for a terminally ill patient like my gran in the familiarity of their home, maintaining their dignity and respect.  Secondly, Andy has chosen to raise money for the Max Levene charity, funds go towards helping Max recover from a rugby accident which has left him paralysed.  Donations for the Max Levene charity will be collected in person.

 

A bbq will be held in the evening on Perranporth beach to help celebrate the completion of the swim so please come along and show your support!!
