DSL's '21' Walk for Down's Syndrome · 22 March 2014 ·
As most of you will know, Zac has Down's Syndrome. This makes it harder for him to learn to do the basic things like walking and talking.
Finding out that our son has Down's Syndrome has been the most painful thing that we have ever experienced but joining DSL has enabled us to feel more positive about his diagnosis and his future.
Down's South London (DSL) is a parent-run charity which provides physio, occupational and speech therapy to local children like Zac which would otherwise be unavailable. They are desperately short of the money they need to continue running the service.
On the 22nd of March we are walking 21 kilometers along the Thames as a tongue in cheek reference to chromosome 21, which Zac has three copies of. It is also Down's awareness day on the Friday before. If you'd like to join us for the walk, or even fund raise for DSL please let us know.
