Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My daughter Edith has 22Q11 deletion (Di George) syndrome and since her diagnosis Max Appeal have been fantastically supportive. The knowledge they have given me has enabled me to ensure that Edith receives the best medical care and educational support so that she can fulfil her true potential. By raising money for Max Appeal I hope that I many other 22Qers can too.

They are a wonderful charity that seek to raise awareness of 22Q11, lobby parliament and were instrumental in writing the consensus document which is used by health professionals and teachers across the country. They also provide enormous support to the families affected by this condition.

My other mission is to try and raise awareness of 22Q11 in Sheffield where I live and work as a doctor. I suspect that it is under diagnosed in this area so I am hoping to provide education for fellow health professionals locally.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
