Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I am running the Bupa 10km race in London in support of Cancer Resarch UK.  They research cures for every type of cancer, create clinical trials and have prolonged the life of countless numbers of cancer patients.  I have had close relatives and friends diagnosed with cancer and I want nothing more than to see a cure found within my lifetime.

Cancer Research UK receives no government funding so it relies on donations for its life saving work.  Since the early 1980s, they have taken over 100 new drugs into clinical trials.  More than 100,000 patients have taken part in their treatment trials since 1995.

Cancer Research UK trials have led to changes in the way that many different types of cancer are treated, including breast, bowel, lung, skin, prostate and pancreatic cancer. This has improved survival rates and saved hundreds of thousands of lives.
