Paris Marathon 2016 · 3 April 2016 ·
Family, friends, ASA sistafrans, lax gals, 4th grade classmates I haven’t spoken to in 15 years, and everyone in between- if you have a spare five minutes, please lend me your ears (or well, eyes, I guess). As you may or may not know, I have decided to throw my hat into the ring for the 2016 Paris marathon- somewhat fitting, I suppose, as I turned 26 back in January. So naturally, I should be able to run 26(.2) consecutive miles, right? Sure guys, sounds great!
Anyway, having acquired a bib number, along with 54,000 other (seemingly half insane) people, I guess I REALLY have to do this. Come hell or high water, on April 3rd, I will be running, jogging, walking, waddling (god forbid), 26.2 miles through the beautiful, incomparable city of Paris. I have been fortunate enough to visit this city twice before, and I could not be more pumped to return to my girl Mona’s hometown... even if it is to suffer through a marathon.
After spraining my ankle back in January, my training was derailed a bit… But I’m back in action and feeling really excited for the big day! Since it’s a bit last minute, my goal is to raise £500 for Breast Cancer Now- a UK based charity focused on researching a cure for a disease the takes the lives of nearly 12,000 women every year. Please consider donating what you can to this awesome cause. I promise to provide embarrassing post-run photos in return! Thank you for your support!
