Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Beth Robinson, Richard Wilson, Donna Biggs and Eve Read will be completing a skydive over 13,500ft on the 18th May to raise money for the Clarke Carlisle Foundation and their focus on early intervention.

Having met Clarke and Carrie when we invited them to tell their story at the launch of the Mental Health @ Mercer group; their strength, integrity and love alongside their goal of creating the 'One-Click Counsellor' which will offer FREE 15 minute FaceTime sessions with qualified counselling services, on your phone or tablet wherever you are, inspired us to fundraise for this charity.

It's Time to Talk ....

A note from Clarke and Carrie Carlisle:

Dear Friends,

Recent personal events have taught us that early intervention is where we must
now focus our attention. Not just personally, but as a Charitable Foundation.

It is our intention to share everything we have learned, both from the
perspective of the sufferer, and the people who love and care for them. What
signs to look out for, and what practical steps can be taken once an episode
has been identified.

How to utilise the available services. How to tell friends and family when we
are struggling. And how to navigate the murky waters of having a loved one in
the throes of a depressive episode, but perhaps not yet meeting the criteria of
what would qualify presently as a person in crisis.

We are currently developing an App and it will be designed with Early
Intervention and Prevention at its core. It will contain educational material
and guidance around Mental Health issues and, most importantly, signpost users
to the support services that are close by.

The most exciting aspect will be the “One-Click Counsellor”, giving users
instant access to a FREE 15 minute FaceTime session with qualified counselling
services, on their phone or tablet, wherever they are. They will then have the
option to continue a full 1 hour session as an “in-app purchase”, or arrange a
physical session at a later date.

This will be expensive to build and resource but, with your help, we can get
this invaluable service to all who need it, free of charge.

Together We can Be The Difference,

Clarke & Carrie Carlisle x
