We fund research into integrative medicine to improve the lives of people with ME/CFS

Story

When my wife Gemma became ill, we assumed the NHS would step in as always, however the condition remained almost unrecognized with no guidance for recovery. We were lost on where next to turn with a multitude of alternative treatments offered on the internet. I don’t know what we would have done if we hadn’t have found The Optimum Health Clinic (OHC), finally it was a centre that actually understood the condition. We were fortunate enough to be able to fund the
treatment Gemma has received to get her where she is on her recovery journey today. She still has a way to go but with OHC’s help and guidance she will do it. So I’m supporting the clinical trials so others who are less fortunate can also benefit from this approach.

I’m running the Great South Run and want to beat my personal best! My target time is 1hr 15 mins, which is a huge challenge for me!!

About the charity

The Optimum Health Clinic is an integrative medicine clinic run by those personally affected by ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia. We are currently fundraising for a randomised controlled trial into our protocol approaches, with the long-term aim of NHS funding being available for those unable to afford support.
