Hi my name is gwen I am 11 years old and have a diagnosis of autism I started swimming 3 years ago and it has now become an important part of my life. I have watched a few people do the channel swim on you tube and a member of my lifeguard club has also swam the channel and it has really inspired me more. I wanted to do the real channel swim but I'm to young so I'm going to do it in a pool instead. I want to raise money for dreams and wishes because of the amazing things they do for children who are seriously or terminally ill. I will be raising money in memory of a family friends daughter who sadly passed away last year.. I will be swimming 1401 lengths of my local swimming pool over a number of days.
