In memory of Roy Edward Chapman

My father Roy Chapman passed away recently, many of you will remember my mother and father taking over the dance floor in their wheelchairs when Mand and I got married, many more will remember him for numerous other things.
Unfortunately because of the Covid 19 restrictions we are only able to have a very small number attend Shrewsbury crematorium; this means many family and friends who would like to attend the chapel are unable to do so to pay their respects and support the family.
As a result a number of family and friends have asked how they can donate to the chosen charity the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Respiratory ward so to make this as easy as possible we have decided to create this just giving page.
Although Dad suffered in his final years, he never complained but he was in and out of the Royal Shrewsbury respiratory ward with pneumonia and bad chest infections. The staff there worked wonders, as so many do in the NHS, and through their help and the help of those who cared for dad at home, his wonderful carers at Battlefield Health Care, the district nurses and local doctors at South Hermitage surgery, as well as the Frailty team and Social Workers, he was able to pass away peacefully at home for which we will be forever grateful.
If anyone would like to donate the family would be very grateful to what is such a worthy cause at this current time, when I believe all NHS staff particularly in wards like the respiratory wards have been amazing.
If you do decide to donate can you please leave a message of condolence as I am sure my mother, Doreen, would appreciate the support at this difficult time.
Many Thanks
Mike
