Michael's All Stars Charity Ice Hockey weekend

All stars Charity ice hockey · 26 July 2019
Hi folks, most of you will know that I was injured in Afghan in 2011 and I've been fortunate enough to have had some amazing support from various organisations such as Haig Housing, Mission motorsport, SSAFA, Combat Stress and most recently Vetersns first point, still engaging with their amazing psychologists. There is another amazing charity which has links to all these amazing organisations by providing crucial funding which means indirectly they've always been there for me but they have also directly provided funding to help with vocational training, recovery activities and equipment I've needed. I'm truly grateful for their support and the volunteers am that give they're time to fundraise and make it all possible.
So..... I have decided to take on my biggest physical challenge since 2011 find myself with an amazing opportunity to join the help for heroes ice hockey team in Cardif for the Charity Allstar weekend, this is a tournament at the end of July between teams supporting some amazing charities such as help for heroes and cancer research, made up of teams of volunteers aiming to raise money for their respective charities, having fun and raising awareness along the way.
It's an amazing way to challenge myself on a physical level that I never thought would be possible, but after finally getting back onto the ice late last year I'm excited for the opportunity to use my story to raise money and give back to a charity that has always been there in the background and provided a helping hand when I've needed it without even realising how much they have actually contributed as they just quietly go about their business and provide for inured soldiers and veterans from all branches of the military.
I would be massively grateful if everyone could please help me give back by making a contribution to the just giving page, no matter how big or small a donation will go towards assisting great men and women that have put their body and mental soundness on the line for their county.
I'm living proof that the work they do genuinely makes a difference to peoples lives, I don't think I'd have made it this far without the backing of help for heroes and the organisations they support.
Thank you 😊😊😊
