Hi, I’m Michael. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am very excited about doing Strictly - it is on the day after my 60^th birthday and will be quite a challenge to mark the milestone.  

"But you don't look that old! " I hear you say.  I hope participating in
Strictly will show that my 'bones' are not too old yet. 

Some of you will know that I am a planning consultant. I left Oxford City Council last year after 13 years as the Head of City Development where I oversaw a period of considerable change in the City, including bringing John Lewis to the city. The store will open next year.

Others of you will know me or my wife Ruth and our children Paul and Kimberley from our links with the community in Marston, Oxford or through St Andrew's Church, Linton Road.  

However, the real purpose of taking part is to raise money and awareness of Vale House, in Littlemore. A number of my friends are caring for parents with dementia, so this is my way of supporting them, with your help.
