The MS Therapy Centre provides therapy, information and support to people living with MS. Many professional therapies are offered - physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, pain management, together with complementary therapies. We do not receive statutory funding, so donations are vital.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.

I am running a 10k in Bedford in aid of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) – a disease from which my father suffered. MS is a disabling neurodegenerative disease for which there is no known cure or cause. Because MS affects the central nervous system, symptoms can occur in any part of the body with varying levels of severity.

I hope to raise some money for the MS centre which provides vital therapy for people with MS. For more information please go to http://mscentrebedsandnorthants.com

I decided to take part in this event as it is coming up to 10 years since my father passed away. As the 10k falls on fathers day it seemed a fitting tribute to him and to give something back to the MS centre. My father regularly visited the MS Centre in Bedford and the help and kindness that the volunteers gave him will certainly never be forgotten by me or my family.

I’ve never run 10k before, so I have been trying to get some training in between niggling injuries that don’t seem to heal as quickly now I am getting older!

However, through all the effort in the forefront of my mind is what a fantastic opportunity this is to raise some money for a great cause.

Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this charity. I really appreciate everyone's support.
