Santas Cycle across Fermanagh

Santas Cycle across Fermanagh · 24 December 2013
Basically it hit me a few weeks back, Christmas is coming and I am 21, gone are the exciting christams times as a child, but that doesnt mean that i cant help other childern now.
I am raising money for the Northern Ireland Childerns Hospice, Horizon West in Killadeas, Co.Fermanagh.
This Childerns Hospice does alot of great work helping familys with terminally ill childern but with poor government funding the hospice needs ways to raise money so I thought of way in which i could help.
It costs 3million to run their services each year, 2.5million of which they need to raise themselves.
I am a keen cyclist so i thought of a way to raise money through this,
On Christmas eve I will trek 100km+ across Fermanagh dressed as a Santa Clause for this charity. anyone else that wants to join me please let me know via facebook (Michael Mulligan) or mobile (07857351701) I will also be sorting out a facebook event page shortly if you are interested in cycling or else want to be a spectator
The trek i was thinking was
Donagh, Newtownbuttler, Magheraveely, Dernawilt, Roslea, Brookebrough, Maguiresbridge, Lisballaw, Enniskillen, Derrylin, Lisnaskea
This may increase with demand for the cycle.
I am hoping to have pit stops in most towns to get the shopping crowds interested in the story and to donate.
Please try and Donate folks, not for me, but for a great cause, Horizon West Childerns Hospice. I also have sponser sheets for anyone who is unable to donate online
Every Pound raised will make such a difference and would mean so much to everyone at the hospice
£503 pays for the full car of a child for 24 Hours
£102 could pay for a childerns hospice nurse to stay overnight in the childs home
£80 could pay for a car seat for the childerns hospice bus
£30 could pay for one hour of specialist Nursing care
£15 could pay for a telephone call with a distressed parent
£5 could pay for essentials clinical supplies for one child for one day.
