Brighton Marathon 2012 · 15 April 2012 ·

The Rainforest Foundation UK aims to protect tropical rainforests by working with those who know the forest best – indigenous peoples and traditional forest dwellers. By supporting them, we're taking a major step forward in the battle to combat climate change.

Story

Hello Friends & Family,

Sunday the 15th of April I will be running 26.2 miles along the streets of Brighton.

I'm running for the National Rainforest Foundation Charity as I feel such Charities are often overlooked for the work they do in protecting and sustaining the lives of indigenous cultures globally.

We've all watched the bbc's 'Natural Planet' documentaries or others similar, yet these beautiful rainforest and their inhabitents are constantly in threat by logging and mining companies souly driven by profit.

I have made a pledge to my sponsor i will raise £500 for my place and would be hugely greatful if you could support this great cause.

As an incentive, I'm currently photographing and creating a 'NAKED FOR NATURE' calander featuring naked friends all running through areas of natural beauty around Kent and the South East of England.

All donations of £15 will receive a 'Naked For Nature' calander

(Please email me your address to mnippe@live.com, so I can post you the 'Naked for Nature' calander featuring 12 naked male/female friends all running for The National Rainforest Foundation.

Thank you all,

Michael
