I wouldn't say throwing myself off a tall building is one of my preferred pastimes, but having been offered the chance to do this for such a worth while cause, I just had to Stand Up and say yes!

Channel 4 and the charity I work for, Cancer Research UK will be joining forces for a live televised event on Friday 19th October to launch Stand Up To Cancer (http://www.standuptocancer.org.uk). The aim is for the people of the UK to join the brightest stars in entertainment and the world's leading scientists and clinicians to raise money to accelerate cancer research.

In the run up to this a number of events will be taking place, not only to encourage fundraising, but also to raise awareness of this deadly disease.

For my part, I will be making my descent down the Angel Building on Monday 15th October at 11.30 am (in case you want to come by and take embarrassing pics) and will attempt to do this in fancy dress. Now, ideas on what I may wear, can only be posed whilst making a donation and even though I have a target of £50, it would be fantastic to exceed this, so please get your choices in now.
