Story
Last year, before lockdown, unhappy with my weight I looked for an easy way out and booked surgery, due to COVID it was cancelled on the day and I walked home from the hospital determined I was going to lose it without surgery, just sheer hard work, determination and focus!
Anyone that knows me knows I don’t do anything the easy way or by half, my focus was going to be training for an Ironman. During lockdown it made me get out and exercise, Train harder than I’ve trained before, and attempt to cut out the Icecream… plus it got me out of the homeschooling nightmare… (wife not the slightest bit impressed..) anyway, cutting long story short I’ve lost three stone, about 20% of my body fat & I look & feel better physically and mentally than I ever have before.
I’ve had a great coach, Brian Foggerty, nutritionist Sam McKenzie who have helped more than I could ever imagine. My wife, who has literally as always held the fought, do so even more than she already does to enable me to put the training hours in.
I know times are difficult and thats why I greatly appreciate every penny donated. You may or may not be aware of the charity I am part of, NSM Foundation, who visit schools in the local community, provide talks to groups & personal development programmes to help local kids in the community stay on the right track, improve their confidence to help improve their life. We like to be able to help them escape every day life with adventure or team building days.
Im now less than two weeks away from the competition date 😬 2.4 mile Swim, 112 mile Bike ride finishing off with 26.2 mile marathon! 🏊♂️ 🚴🏿 🏃♂️ As always all support is greatly received and definitely for a good cause.
Wish me luck!!!
