Story

Hello and thank you for visiting our Just Giving page.

On the 23rd October 2021 our father Michael was injured in a machinery accident close to his home in Augher Co. Tyrone.  He sustained a fractured pelvis and other injuries.

The air ambulance attended the scene and rushed him to the Royal Victoria Hospital.  Thankfully after some time there and with continued rehabilitation he is making a good recovery.

As a family we would love to give back to the Air Ambulance NI Charity to help keep this vital service going for Northern Ireland.  Our target is £5500 as this is what it takes to run this service every day.

Michael's son Rory along with two friends Ciaran Shevlin and Ryan Donnelly who are all non-runners have embarked on taking on the challenge of running the Omagh Half Marathon on Sunday 26th March 2023.

The O'Connor family are very grateful for all donations received and thank you all very much for supporting them in raising funds for this exceptional charity.

About the charity

Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for NI. Serious or life-threatening situations can happen to anyone at any time and on average every day one individual finds themselves in need of AANI.
