In June of this year I will be joining beyond thirty other cyclist for an arduous four day 270 mile cycle challenge in the mountains around Geneva in Switzerland  to help the Foundation of Light.

Why punish myself in my sixtieth year ?  Because this brilliant charity helps so many in our community and that work would be severely limited without the generosity of friends and family backing campaigns like this. 

Having volunteered as  an ambassador for the Foundation, I have seen first hand their life changing work focused on the Beacon of Light and the  good fortune we have in having this facility in our city of Sunderland. 

Your kind donations go directly to supporting our community and 270 miles in four days will be well worth the aching bones if I can give back just a little to help.
