Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For people that know me will know that in 2011, I nearly lost my sister and unborn niece in a car accident. My sister was in an induced coma and on life support on the Radnor ward ICU and my niece was taking her first breaths as she entered the world in the NICU. Not knowing whether my niece would ever meet her mummy or I would ever speak to my sister again is something that I will never forget. She had a long recovery ahead of her but seeing her hold her baby for the first time was the most precious moment. In late 2013 my sister had gone back in for her last operation as a result of the crash, and what should of been a routine procedure ended with my sister back on life support and us reliving the same heart wrenching feeling again of loosing my sister.
Miraculously she survived again. I don't just put this down to her indredible fighting spirit of knowing she had a little girl and family that loves her to fight for, but for the amazing care and support both Radnor and the children's ward provided us with. The incredible equipment they have to work with and the constant fear they have of not only having the patient to care for but the whole family. I owe everything to both wards, I still have my sister and my niece is now 5 and the most precious and gorgeous person. This is my way of giving something back to say thank you.
I'm jumping out of a plane at 10,000ft on the 28th August 2016 in thanks to the Radnor ICU and the children's NICU wards. (The sky dive is already paid for in full so all proceeds raised will go directly to the stars appeal)
Any amount of money you can give will go to buying new state of the art equipment for both NICU's. You never know when you or someone you love will need their life changing care.
