Coventry Haven is a wonderful organisation that provides much needed help to women suffering from domestic abuse and violence, it supports them and their children and makes life just a little more bearable. 

I won’t spend time giving you statistics but, trust me, they are shocking  - this is your opportunity to join me in helping.

So... I was looking for a  a way of supporting Coventry Haven, when inspiration hit....

...at the end of the month I have 4 days in the Eternal City, Rome. I had planned to sit in the sun and drink coffee and wine  (well more wine than coffee!) but .........

...in an effort to persuade you to sponsor me I am planning to walk at least one hundred thousand steps or 50 miles in old money  in the four days. Personally I think this is well worth one hundred thousand pennies or £1000  (especially for a 58 year old !) so please give what you can to this great organisation.
