Great Manchester Run Half Marathon 2021 · 26 September 2021 ·
As a trustee of this amazing charity, I know the extent of the emotional and practical support that OUAS offer to bereaved children and families.
This means that families no longer have to grieve alone and can benefit from the fantastic support that OUAS has to offer, including one to one support, group sessions, focused bereavement support groups, children's residentials, stay and play sessions and school support.
I lost my 14 year old Stepson Layton to Mitochondrial Disease on the 21st January 2021, and the support that OUAS have offered us and his step sister has been invaluable, beneficial and much appreciated during such heartache.
I have only been running for a year and the longest distance I have run is 11.2 miles, so this will be a HUGE challenge for me.
I am running this half marathon in Layton's memory and to raise vital funds for this amazing charity.
Thank you Once Upon a Smile for everything that you do!
