April 2017 - My mum, my partner David and best friend Terri completed the swimathon for Marie Curie in memory of my gran. Little did I know a month later we would begin an 8 week devestating Cancer journey which would take away my amazing Dad Allan Dearie on 27th July 2017. During this time Lanarkshire Cancer Care provided my dad with vital transport to attend appointments and took away a little of the stress. Myself and my best friend Gerladine are running the half marathon in Edinburgh on 26th May 2019. Exactly 2 years since we started that dreadful journey I would like to be able to give back to others by providing vital funds to Lanarkshire Cancer Care by doing something ive never done before! Im terrified! Thankfully Geraldine is a seasoned runner and a great friend.

Please dig deep and donate in memory of my dad. He was one in a million and is missed incredibly everyday and more than he could ever have imagined.
