Yes, I know I'm not setting world alight by running a 10km but I haven't done one since having 2 kids.  However, if ever inspiration was needed to get my bum into action it was hearing about Jacob.  He attends the same nursery as my boys, Finn and Dylan.  Jacob has cerebral palsy and his parents and family are pulling out all the stops to try and fundraise £65,000 to pay for an operation and post-operative care for Jacob to enable him to walk.  The reason for having to raise the money is that the operation has only recently started being carried out at Frenchay hospital in Bristol and there is already a long waiting list but it is carried out regularly in USA and so if they can raise the funds Jacob will get the chance to walk much sooner.  He's four years old and should be running around with his brother and all the other little terrors!  Anyway, this is a call out to my friends and family asking for your support on Jacob's behalf - his story makes me want to get up and do something about it and I'm sure it will you too.  You can read more about him at http://www.jacobsfootsteps.co.uk
