Alzheimer's Society - Memory Walk London · 18 September 2011 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm doing the Memory Walk in order to support the fantastic work that the Alzheimer's Society do and to enable them to continue doing so, as the need for their service grows and grows.

My work at Southwark and Lambeth Memory Service means I get to see each day the impact of dementia, both on the person and their family.

We have close ties with the Alzheimer's Society and without them, our jobs would be much harder.

I'm also doing the walk due to my personal experience of having a close relative with dementia, and in recognition of everyone that is affected by this disease.
