Here’s our Story so far 

Back in 2009 I gave birth to my Son Archie who was diagnosed with Achondroplasia. Achondroplasia is one of the most common forms of Dwarfism and 80% of babies born with this condition are born to both average height parents. 

As parents finding out that your child has any form of disability was lot to endure and as a family myself, my husband and other children we were in desperate need to find support from an organisation and meet people who could fully understand what we were going through. 

This is where we found the Charity Little People UK

Without this Charity we would never have met other people with the same Dwarfism as Archie’s and others with a different form of Dwarfism. This charity opened many doors for us regarding Archie’s health. Since being educated with Dwarfism Archie was lucky to have been referred to some amazing consultants who still remain in Archie’s life today. 

Little People UK has become a family to my family and has not only helped us as parents and siblings but most importantly has helped Archie to accept who he is and that he isn’t alone. Archie has gone on to make many friends with Dwarfism and we have also made friends for life with other families dealing with the same situation.

Little People UK still continue to grow and raise awareness but relies solely on Charity and Donations! 

A skydive is something myself and my daughter Morgen have always wanted to do and last year I set myself a challenge to change my lifestyle for a healthier one which has allowed for us to do this skydive and give something back to this amazing charity. 

During the Pandemic Little People UK and many other charities have found that these donations have slowed down and without them they couldn’t go on so I’m asking if people would kindly donate anything they can afford even if it’s just £1.00 every little helps!

Without this Charity I worry about what the future holds for other families in the same situation but most of all I worry for Archie’s social interaction with this Charity when we get together a few times a year! It’s something that myself and family carry close to our hearts and means the world to us if you could offer some support I’m sure Little People UK would be forever grateful!
