Story
In Memory of Michael (Mick) Jones
A big thank you for visiting this page set up in the memory of our Dad, husband and grandad who sadly passed away in June 2023.
Dad/Mick loved dogs and they loved him too! Even the most perfectly trained and well-behaved dog would lose control to go and see him for a fuss and play.
As beagles have been in the family over the years, with Bailey our current family member, we have chosen Beagle Welfare as one of two charities to donate to in Mick’s memory.
We regularly attend the monthly Peterborough Beagles meets at Holly Lodge, Upton. The events often have at least 50 beagles running around the field. All the proceeds from the monthly meets go to Beagle Welfare to help them.
Beagle Welfare do everything they can to save beagles from cruelty and hard times and find a safe, warm and welcoming home for them.
As a family we will keep helping the beagles and will also look to help other breeds too.
Donations to Beagle Welfare would be very much appreciated and we know Mick would be extremely grateful too.
Thank you for reading.
The below is their story.
Beagle Welfare was formed in 1979 to give help and advice on beagles and re-home those whose owners, for whatever reason, cannot keep them.
The main aims of Beagle Welfare are:
- The prevention of maltreatment and cruelty to beagle and encourage responsible ownership throughout Great Britain
- Re-home beagles whose owners are unable to do so
- Provide advice and guidance to beagle owners
- Promote responsible breeding practices in the breeding of beagles throughout Great Britain
If you can give a gift today, you’ll help us make sure that all our beagles have everything they need to be healthy and comfortable until we can find them all the loving homes they deserve.
