Mike Ponting is raising money for ME Research UK
In memory of Mick Ponting
ME Research UK exists solely to fund high quality biomedical studies into the causes and treatment of ME/CFS. This illness affects approximately 250,000 people in the UK but is neither well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. We fund highly regarded, peer-reviewed research worldwide.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Mick Ponting's memorial page.

Mick passed away on 16th November after a long battle with his ailments. Mick was a Veterinary Surgeon with a practice in Cirencester for many years and he also lectured in Veterinary Science at the Royal Agricultural College (now University) in Cirencester. He was also the Vet for Cirencester Park Polo Club and played polo regularly for many years.

He sadly lost his youngest son Tim in 2013 who suffered from ME and it's horrible symptoms. Survived by his loving wife Maureen and eldest son Mike and two grandchildren Fred and Rosie.

Mick passed peacefully at home with family.

Donations will go to support vital research into ME a cause Mick was passionate about. He will be sadly missed.
